About these terms
DocReflow operates the DocReflow document design, writing, and publishing application from Greece. These terms cover the DocReflow website, web application, collaboration, and related services. For questions about these terms, contact legal@docreflow.com.
By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you use DocReflow on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to act for it. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the application.
Access and early availability
DocReflow is in alpha and new account registration is currently closed. Existing accounts can continue to sign in. When access is made available, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the early-access application for lawful personal, educational, and commercial work, subject to these terms. This does not transfer ownership of the application or give you a right to resell access to it.
Features may change during early access. We do not currently offer a paid commercial license, a paid cloud subscription, or a desktop application under these terms. Any future paid offering will have its price, billing, cancellation, and applicable refund terms presented before you purchase it. We will not automatically enroll you in a paid plan.
Your account
Provide accurate account information, protect your password and sign-in links, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share an individual account with other people; invite collaborators using their own accounts. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.
Your work and intellectual property
You retain the rights you hold in your text, images, layouts, datasets, and other content. DocReflow does not claim ownership of your work. You are responsible for having the permissions needed to use, import, share, and publish that content, including fonts, photographs, and third-party material.
You give us permission to process your content only as needed to provide the features you use, such as saving shared projects, synchronizing edits, creating previews and exports, and publishing your work. This permission ends when the relevant processing is no longer needed, subject to backup retention and legal obligations described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use your private documents to train AI or machine-learning models. The application still processes and parses content to perform normal editing, search, layout, export, and synchronization.
The application, brand, and original interface remain the property of their respective rights holders. Third-party components are governed by their own licenses. Nothing here restricts rights those licenses or applicable law give you.
Collaboration and publishing
Sharing a project gives the people you invite the access allowed by their role. Collaborators may edit shared content or retain copies they are permitted to access. Choose recipients carefully and review project permissions. Removing someone’s access cannot recall copies they already downloaded.
Shared editing uses Yjs and a self-hosted Hocuspocus service. Collaborative project state is transmitted to and stored by the service; it is not end-to-end encrypted. Content you publish on a public URL is intended to be accessible to visitors and may be indexed or copied by others.
Availability depends on network connections and service infrastructure. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a specific uptime level, or recovery of every edit. Keep independent exports of important work.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload, share, or publish unlawful material or content that infringes another person’s rights.
- Do not use DocReflow for malware, phishing, harassment, fraud, or other abusive activity.
- Do not bypass access controls, attempt to enter another person’s projects, disrupt the service, or overload its infrastructure.
- Do not resell access to the service, impersonate others, or misrepresent your relationship with DocReflow.
- Do not copy or redistribute proprietary application code without permission. Reverse engineering restrictions apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not override open-source license rights.
Ending access
You can stop using DocReflow at any time. Contact us to request account closure or deletion of personal data. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, a security risk, a legal obligation, or a material breach of these terms. Where practicable and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Export important work before requesting closure. Local browser copies and copies held by collaborators are separate from your account and may need to be removed separately. We may change or discontinue features; where reasonably practicable, we will give advance notice of changes that materially affect access to stored work.
Availability and production output
To the extent permitted by law, early-access features are provided as available, without a promise that every workflow will be uninterrupted or error-free. Check exports, fonts, color, accessibility, and print specifications before distributing or manufacturing your work. Our Prepress & Service Disclaimers explain these practical limitations.
These terms do not exclude statutory guarantees, remedies for a lack of conformity, or other protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, DocReflow is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business interruption, or loss of data arising from use of the service. Where a contractual limit is lawful, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us for the service in the preceding twelve months.
These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where liability cannot be excluded, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. They do not remove mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law of your habitual residence where those protections apply. Nothing here restricts a consumer’s right to bring a claim before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
Please contact legal@docreflow.com if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. This does not limit your right to seek a remedy through a court or supervisory authority.
Changes and contact
We will post updated terms on this page with a new version date. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email where reasonably practicable, and we will seek renewed agreement where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have.
For legal notices, content complaints, and questions about these terms, email legal@docreflow.com. Include enough information to identify the issue, without sending your password or unnecessary private documents.
